The nylon shell comes in a deep navy with a restrained sheen.
A subtle luster across the smooth surface brings a refined touch to its rugged military character.



Inside, insulation made from 58% wool and 42% cotton wraps the body in natural fibers, providing dependable warmth for autumn and winter.

Combining a substantial appearance with protection from the cold, this jacket is a natural centerpiece for the colder months.





The arrival of jet aircraft after World War II brought major changes to aviation equipment. In particular, the introduction of hard helmets to protect pilots' heads called for changes to flight jackets as well.

The Modified (MOD.) model was developed to resolve interference between these helmets and the bulky shearling collars used on the original B-15 series.

The shearling collar was removed and replaced with wool ribbing. With its characteristic attention to detail, BUZZ RICKSON'S recreates the modifications carried out across the older B-15 series under instructions issued in 1956.

More than a change in appearance, this was a functional evolution developed for the pilots of its time. It is a piece that allows vintage enthusiasts to appreciate the history behind the design.





A 100% wool ribbed collar replaces the original shearling version. It follows the neck naturally while creating a clean line around the face.



Inside the collar, a reproduced white label recalls the certification of the original official modification. Details at the rear collar seam and around the hem also evoke the restitching carried out during the alteration process.



The left sleeve features a U.S. AIR FORCE insignia and the utility pocket characteristic of flight jackets. A horsehide zipper pull adds an authentic vintage touch down to the smallest detail.



Snap-fastened hand pockets sit on either side of the front, with an additional storage pocket inside. These details bring everyday practicality to the considered design.





Wool ribbing at the cuffs and hem provides a comfortable fit, defining the silhouette while helping keep cold air out.





Rounded sleeves and a moderately full body give this jacket its distinctive flight jacket silhouette.
The shorter length and ribbed hem bring definition to its generous shape, creating a balanced look without excess bulk.

Wear it casually over a sweatshirt, or pair it with denim or chinos. Wide-leg trousers work particularly well, balancing the proportions of the upper body for an effortless, refined take on military style.
